I had too many chores to want to rush and had no problem with a day off. Plus a local business was putting on a hiker feed. I had no idea what that was but it sounded fun.
Around 11 I found myself at Heritage On Main where all the hikers were told we could get $15-20 worth of food for free, enjoy the back patio and get a shuttle to the movie theatre after if we wanted. It was delicious food and the crowd of faces had a surprising number of familiar ones.
I decided I didn't have the attention span for a movie and instead hung out with hikers, took a nap and enjoyed the pool at the hotel. What a treat of a day. It's back to hiking tomorrow and I'll officially be in Shenandoah National Park for the next 100 plus miles.
